BSc (Hons) Business Management
Requirements:
The minimum qualifications required for admission to the programme on the standard route are:
A. GCE Advanced Level
- Sri Lankan: 3 passes or
- London, Cambridge or Edexcel : 3 D passes or
- Any combination totalling to 12 points from the following tariff scheme:
OR
B. APIIT Sri Lanka Business Foundation
and
GCE/GCSE Ordinary Level (Sri Lankan/Edexcel/Cambridge) with a Credit pass (Grade 4) for English
OR
C. An equivalent qualification, subject to approval from University of Staffordshire

and
B. GCE/GCSE Ordinary Level

You may apply with pending A/L results. Applicants with additional qualifications may receive advanced entry subject to approval from University of Staffordshire.
Description:

Our business management degree will equip you with the skills, knowledge, experience and connections to achieve your ambitions in a wide range of sectors.
The course covers topics such as operations management, managing equality, diversity and inclusion, and developing sustainable businesses. You can also delve into strategic management in a global context and choose two elective modules from a range of subjects.
You’ll explore everything from a real-world perspective, with live industry briefs and the chance to create your own consultancy to work with existing companies. The course also includes business simulations, where you’ll make financial decisions and experience key areas such as operations, marketing and HR.
The BSc (Hons) Business Management can be completed as a three-year or a two-year (accelerated) full-time degree awarded by University of Staffordshire, UK.
Teaching & Learning
All of our business courses will equip you with a diverse skillse t in leadership and management and the latest knowledge of how business operates in the real world. You will graduate with a creative approach to problem-solving, be able to interpret and use financial data, have teamworking and persuasive communication skills, and show confidence in managing time, projects and resources.
You will be taught via a combination of lectures, tutorials, and independent study. You will use resources including books, journals and digital databases, social media resource banks and more to immerse yourself in each discipline and you will be challenged to picture what the business landscape of the future will be. To build further business links, there will also be career talks, visits and guest speakers from industry. You’ll learn from staff who bring a wealth of business experience and research expertise.
On successful completion of study, we will issue the following award: BSc (Hons) Business Management.

Career Opportunities
The breadth of this degree course will give you lots of career options in business. In recent years, graduates have entered marketing, human resource management, and operations management in the public and private sectors. Some have become management trainees upon graduation, progressed on to postgraduate studies, or gone on to set up their own successful businesses.

If for any reason a module cannot be run we will advise you as soon as possible and will provide guidance on selecting an appropriate alternative module.
