Requirements:
General intake
Three (3) Simple passes (S) or above in any stream in one and the same sitting at the GCE A/L (Advanced Level) Examination conducted by the Department of Examinations of Sri Lanka or equivalent qualification.
Description:
The Bachelor of Business Management degree in Human Resource Management programme provides application-based knowledge in staffing, training, negotiation, dispute resolution, compensation, organisational behaviour, and leadership strategies in businesses. This programme prepares you to enter and excel in the human resources arena, generating approaches and solutions for managing a business’s most valuable resource: its employees. This is one of the most recognized undergraduate degrees in HR offered in Sri Lanka.
This specialised HRM programme will enable graduates to apply for diverse positions in the industry and pursue numerous career options as HR professionals. This aims to prepare students to meet, locally and globally recognized standards of professional excellence with the necessary knowledge and skills. This undergraduate degree combines theory with practical application of the discipline and helps students relate it to everyday work environments. Graduates will be ready to work in human resource management, employee or industrial relations, information systems, recruitment, and training.
Throughout the programme, students are provided with multiple opportunities to integrate academic learning with workplace experience. Incorporating professional experience in studies helps develop employability skills, including communication, teamwork, leadership, negotiation and problem-solving.
